US Cyber Challenge
February 3rd - March 22nd 2025

Cyber Quests are a series of fun but challenging on-line competitions allowing participants to demonstrate their knowledge in a variety of information security realms. Each quest features an artifact for analysis, along with a series of quiz questions. Some quests focus on a potentially vulnerable sample web server as the artifact, challenging participants to identify its flaws using vulnerability analysis skills. Other quests are focused around forensic analysis, packet capture analysis, and more. The quests have varying levels of difficulty and complexity, with some quests geared toward beginners, while others include more intermediate and ultimately advanced material.

National Cyber League Individual Game
April 11-13, 2025

The National Cyber League (NCL) Individual Game is a weekend-long competition where participants solve cybersecurity challenges individually. It tests skills across nine domains and is crucial for generating Scouting Reports, which are valuable for hiring purposes. Participation is required for eligibility for prizes and contributes to a school's Cyber Power Ranking. Players must compete alone, and preparation can be done through the NCL Gymnasium and Practice Game. This event is the main focus of the NCL season, emphasizing personal skill assessment and competition.

National Cyber League Team Game
April 25-27, 2025

The National Cyber League (NCL) Team Game is a weekend-long competition where teams of up to seven players collaborate to solve cybersecurity challenges. It promotes teamwork and evaluates collective technical skills across various categories, such as enumeration, exploitation, and network traffic analysis. Performance in the Team Game contributes to a school's Cyber Power Ranking and encourages collaboration among team members to solve challenges. Unlike the Individual Game, participants in the Team Game are allowed to assist each other, but not receive help from outside sources.

Hackreation - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The Hackreation event is a hackathon scheduled for April 26th, 2025, from 9 AM to 5 PM at Penrod. Sponsored by Penrod & Nvisia, it includes breakfast and lunch for attendees. Open to all experience levels, participants will be matched with a team and a team lead upon arrival. Throughout the day, teams will build AI agents or chatbots, either using their own ideas or choosing from provided challenges. The event culminates with teams pitching their projects to judges, with winning teams receiving certificates. It offers a hands-on experience with AI, networking opportunities with experts, and a fun competitive environment. Registration is open for all interested participants.

Conquer the Hill Reign Addition

Welcome to the 2025 Reign! Participants are invited to experience a cybersecurity competition like no other, as this year’s event carries a hint of déjà vu and unfolds within a 2D dungeon crawler platformer game. Competitors will be challenged to piece together a nuclear reactor, hack through server rooms, interact with AI robots, decrypt secret messages, and navigate through multiple levels to fulfill their quest. However, not everything is as it seems; contestants must use their wits and cunning to progress through rooms of increasing difficulty and ultimately unravel the truth. Participants should expect to be tested on their knowledge of cybersecurity, computer science, mathematics, cryptography, and critical thinking skills in general.
